I just received a call from an associate who lives in Washington DC. He informed me that at noon today, President Trump will resign. The word is that the stress of the Russia collusion investigation has finally gotten to him. At 12:30 eastern daylight time, Mike Pence will be sworn in as president. However, at 1:00 pm, he too will resign as he has already been informed as to what the job entails and it seems Jesus told him he shouldn't take it. However, his one action while president for half an hour will be to pardon Trump of all wrongdoing he may or may not have done! Then at 1:30 Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, the next in line, will be sworn in to take Pence's place. As it happens Ryan was already set to resign as Speaker because he too got a message from God that he should get out of Washington. Then it becomes unclear who would get sworn in. Rumors are starting to fly. And speculation abounds. But surely, whoever takes over, it will be better than what this nation has been experiencing. On second thought, looking at the cast of characters who might be in line of succession, maybe not. Cross your fingers.
